Job summary

Priory Life Works House in Old Woking is seeking a chef to join our kitchen team on a flexible part-time basis. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, catering to dietary needs while upholding food safety standards.

Shifts are bank-based, with DBS checks covered by Priory, and training opportunities to progress within clinical roles. The role supports a compassionate residential service in Surrey, offering a supportive team environment and opportunities to balance other

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen and preparing meals for groups.
• Food hygiene qualification and NVQ Level 2 in catering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of food safety and allergens.
• The ability to work independently, organise a busy shift and communicate well with colleagues.
• A thoughtful approach to individual dietary and nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve varied, nutritious meals for residents.
• Cater for individual dietary needs and allergens; maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with stock management and minimize waste; support during shifts as Head Chef when needed.
