Job summary

Priory Life Works House in Old Woking, Surrey, is seeking a flexible part-time chef to join our catering team. The role offers shifts arranged to cover annual leave and absences, paying £15 per hour. You will prepare nutritious meals, cater to dietary needs, uphold food safety and kitchen cleanliness, and help manage stock.

DBS checks are covered and training is provided. This bank position suits an experienced chef who wants extra hours around other commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen and cooking for groups.
• Food hygiene qualification and NVQ Level 2 in catering or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of food safety and allergens.
• Ability to work independently, organise busy shifts and communicate with colleagues.
• Thoughtful approach to individual dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in Life Works House.
• Cater to dietary needs and maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with stock management and reducing waste; lead kitchen operations during shifts when required.
