Job summary

iMap Centre Limited in Crewe is seeking caring Bank Adult Support Workers to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, and additional needs to live independently. You will provide flexible cover during leave, sickness, and peak periods, with holiday pay and a nightly rate top-up for waking nights.

You will help participants engage in meaningful activities, develop life skills, access the community, and achieve personal goals through person-centred support within a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient and compassionate approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
• Commitment to promoting independence and inclusion.
• Experience in a support worker role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
• Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and autism.
• Encouraging individuals to develop independence and life skills.
• Supporting people to engage in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Supporting individuals to manage daily routines and activities.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation.
• Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and positive behaviour support practices.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals.
