Zusammenfassung

Mishcon de Reya is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build and improve AI-enabled products and workflows. You will work with cross-functional teams to move AI use cases from PoCs to tested services, focusing on agents, model selection, and prompt engineering for legal and business tasks.

Responsibilities include designing retrieval pipelines, building MCP integrations, and delivering production-ready components with strong emphasis on safety, quality and cost. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifikationen

• Strong software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, code review, documentation, secure development.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud services and event-driven/workflow solutions.
• Ability to move from an unclear problem to a working prototype and improve it with evidence and user feedback.
• Collaboration with Product, Data, Architecture, Security and business specialists.

Aufgaben

• Deliver AI-enabled products and workflows.
• Build agents and workflow components using Python, TypeScript, Azure and approved model services.
• Develop prompts, system instructions, tool definitions, and retrieval strategies for real legal/operational tasks.
• Design and evaluate retrieval pipelines with document prep, chunking, metadata and access controls.
• Create MCP integrations and APIs to enable data/tools access through controlled interfaces.
• Use AI-assisted development to accelerate prototyping and ensure code quality before release.
• Evaluate outcomes, safety, and token economics; define acceptance thresholds.
• Document experiments and learnings for reuse across the roadmap.
• Retain engineering ownership as prototypes move to production services.
