Mishcon de Reya LLP in London is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build and improve AI-enabled products and workflows that support legal practice and business operations. You will work with Product Manager, Automation & AI Engineer, lawyers and data teams to move use cases from proof of concept to production, with emphasis on safety, adoption and measurable value.

The role requires strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, experience with Azure and model services, and a pragmatic, collaborative

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and secure development practices.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud services and event-driven/workflow solutions.
• Ability to turn unclear problems into working prototypes with evidence-based improvements.
• Collaborative work with Product, Data, Architecture, Security, and business teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Applied AI delivery: work against prioritised AI roadmap with cross-functional leads.
• Build AI-enabled applications, agents and workflows using Python/TypeScript and Azure.
• Design prompts, tools, retrieval approaches and context strategies for real tasks.
• Evaluate retrieval pipelines and token usage; ensure safety and reliability.
