Description du poste

Flexible All-Round Personal Assistant / Support Worker – 4-in-1 Role- Male Only Applicants

We are looking for an extremely flexible, practical and reliable male all-rounder to join our team in a varied 4-in-1 role combining remote work, in-person administration, practical support work and travel companionship. Location: Leeds, UK

Male applicants only due to the personal and practical nature of the support required and the requirements of the role.

The successful applicant will be working closely with the employer in a range of personal, household, practical and travel-related situations where a male support worker is required.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is willing to learn, can turn their hand to different tasks and is prepared to take on additional hours when required. No two days will necessarily be the same. The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, organised and hands-on, with a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.

Hours

The position offers a minimum of 20 hours per week at £14 per hour, with the following hours fixed and required:

  • Wednesday: 6:00pm–11:00pm
  • Thursday: 6:00pm–11:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00pm–11:00pm
  • Saturday: 6:00pm–11:00pm

These 20 hours are the minimum guaranteed hours of the role.

There may be opportunities for additional hours outside of these fixed hours, depending on requirements. The successful candidate should therefore be genuinely flexible and willing to take on additional hours when reasonably required and agreed. Applicants must be able to reliably commit to all four fixed shifts every week.

Remote Work & Administration at £12.71 per hour

When working remotely, duties may include:

  • General administrative and organisational work.
  • Accounts-related tasks and maintaining financial records (This will be a monthly responsibility).
  • Assisting with budgeting, monitoring expenditure and organising financial information.
  • Carrying out online research and other research tasks as required.
  • Gathering information, comparing options and presenting findings clearly.
  • Organising documents, correspondence, appointments and schedules.
  • Data entry and maintaining records.
  • General office administration and organisational support.
  • Working independently and managing tasks to agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate does not need to be an accountant, but should have some understanding of basic accounts and budgeting, be comfortable working with figures and be willing to learn. You should also be happy to undertake research tasks, sometimes involving unfamiliar subjects, and have the ability to find reliable information and summarise it clearly.

In-Person Administration & Practical Support £14.00

When working in person, duties may include:

  • Attending meetings on behalf of or alongside the employer.
  • Taking notes and recording relevant information from meetings.
  • Meeting and liaising with contractors, tradespeople and visitors.
  • Being present at the property or workplace when required to provide access to contractors or visitors.
  • Communicating with contractors and helping coordinate work being carried out.
  • Organising and maintaining the office.
  • General office administration and organisation.
  • Managing paperwork, appointments, schedules and correspondence.
  • Preparing rooms and spaces for meetings, visitors or hosting when required.
  • Providing practical assistance to the employer.
Household & Practical Duties
  • General household cleaning and upkeep.
  • Thorough/deep cleaning when required.
  • Kitchen cleaning and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene.
  • Household organisation and decluttering.
  • Preparing rooms and ensuring the home is presentable.
  • Shopping and running errands.
  • Preparing and cooking meals.
  • Car cleaning.
  • DIY, gardening and practical tasks.
  • General manual work and other reasonable household tasks.
  • Helping organise and maintain the home and office environment.
  • Supporting hosting and preparing for visitors or events.
Travel Companion & Driving

Travel companionship and practical assistance may form part of the role. This could include accompanying the employer on journeys, helping with arrangements, providing practical assistance while travelling and driving when required. A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential. You should be a confident, safe and responsible driver and be willing to drive for work-related tasks and travel.

Supporting Independence

An important part of the role is providing practical support while promoting and maintaining the employer's independence. The successful candidate should understand the importance of providing assistance without unnecessarily taking over tasks the employer can manage themselves. You should be observant, respectful and able to adapt your level of support according to the situation.

About You
  • Extremely flexible and comfortable with a varied role.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
  • Practical, proactive and willing to get stuck in.
  • An excellent all-rounder who can adapt to different situations.
  • Happy to undertake household, administrative, research and practical tasks.
  • Comfortable with cleaning, manual work and household upkeep.
  • Organised and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable with accounts, figures and budgeting.
  • Confident using computers and carrying out online research.
  • A good communicator with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Comfortable attending meetings and dealing professionally with contractors and visitors.
  • Respectful of privacy, confidentiality and personal boundaries.
  • Willing to learn new skills and gain experience.
  • Prepared to take on additional hours when required, subject to reasonable notice and agreement.
  • Able to adapt quickly when priorities change.
  • Someone who takes pride in completing tasks thoroughly and to a high standard.
What We Are Looking For

This position would suit someone who genuinely enjoys being an all-rounder and is not looking for a narrowly defined support-worker role. You do not need to know how to do everything from day one, but you must be willing to learn, take instruction, use initiative and develop your skills. You may be doing computer-based research and budgeting one day, attending a meeting or meeting a contractor the next, and then helping with household tasks, cooking, cleaning, driving or practical work. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys variety, has common sense and initiative, and is comfortable wearing different hats. If you are someone who can see what needs doing, get on with it, learn quickly and provide practical, dependable support, we would be very interested to hear from you.
