Job summary

Believecare is seeking a compassionate support worker/personal assistant to provide person-centred support to Sam, a mother with autism, in Bradford. The role is 15 hours per week, flexible within school hours, at £13.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will help Sam develop confidence, independence and manage everyday tasks while maintaining professional boundaries and promoting Sam's voice in all decisions.

Qualifications

• Mature, reliable and compassionate female support worker.
• Experience or understanding of autism is beneficial.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to maintain client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to Sam, a mother with autism.
• Support Sam to communicate her views and participate in meetings (including school meetings).
• Offer advocacy-style support to help Sam understand discussions and express her views.
• Assist with emails, letters, bills, appointments and phone calls.
• Help develop skills for independent handling of correspondence and admin tasks.
