Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Secondary Tutor to provide flexible 1:1 educational support to a learner in Chester. The role suits an experienced teacher or tutor who can build strong rapport and deliver engaging, personalised lessons.

The role involves delivering individualised tuition, planning sessions around attainment, and monitoring progress across core subjects. Part-time, 5–15 hours per week, starting September 2026, with requirements including QTS/PGCE, DBS update, and right

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum.
• Previous 1:1 tuition experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage learners.
• QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional references relating to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised secondary-level tuition.
