Job description

About The Company

Our Laverneo Ladies are looking to recruit! Firstly, it’s important to share our care family at Laverneo is made up of ladies supporting ladies - to live a life they love.

Supporting people with complex care needs is what we do. Seeing a smile on someone’s face at the end of the day is so heartwarming and it makes what we do feel so worthwhile.

We love to spend our afternoons in our sensory room, stretching and spending time together. We’re looking for someone new to join us. If you’d like a job full of rewards with a team that feels like family, please find out more.

Laverneo is a 4-bed registered residential service rated Outstanding by CQC that supports women of any age to thrive who have a physical and/or learning disability. We support people to be independent in their own way whilst receiving the specialist support they require, from a specialist adapted environment in Sunderland.

The home sits within its own grounds and has fully accessible paths around the outside with beautiful gardens to three sides. Communal areas include a spacious living room, light and airy kitchen/dining room, laundry room, passage, hallway, a toilet/wet room and bathroom. The bathroom and wet room/toilet have tracking hoists in them. We encourage the people we support to personalise their own bedrooms which are all fitted with tracking hoists. There is access to wi-fi/broadband throughout the building.

As well as providing support to the individuals who live here you will also carry out the cooking, cleaning and all the other tasks you would do in your own home. As part of their day to day care, some of our ladies do need help with moving and their personal care too. Our staff team feel as at home here as the ladies who live here and we want someone to join our team who will care about the whole of Laverneo the way we do. We have a flexible rota and some of our shifts are sleep-ins - talk about dream job!
