Job summary

One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, is seeking a confident receptionist to join our FlexiBank team on an as-needed basis. You will welcome patients and visitors, answer calls, process admissions and payments, and support clinic lists under supervision.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and teamwork in a private healthcare setting. FlexiBank hours mean you may be asked to cover busy periods and staff leave, making reliability and adaptability essential

Qualifications

• GCSE education or equivalent.
• 1 year relevant experience in administrative or customer services role.
• Experience in health care sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer switchboard calls promptly and professionally.
• Book appointments and admissions.
• Check-in procedures for patients and receive payments.
• Assist with telephone enquiries and general clerical tasks.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Verify patients' medical insurance details prior to admission.
• Undertake general office duties as required by department lead.
