Fleet Workshop Technician - Carrington - Manchester

£45,000 - £48,600

3.00pm - 12.00am Monday - Friday

Role & Responsibilities
  • Performing Routine Maintenance tasks and repairs on a wide range of specialist equipment, including vehicles (ranging from 3500kg-44,000kgs GVW), and trailers.
  • Ensuring that fleet equipment operated in the UK and Ireland is maintained and repaired to the highest standards
  • This position involves the maintenance, repair, and inspection of vehicles and systems
  • Expertise in heavy good vehicle, trailer maintenance, inspection and repair, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • A thorough understanding of the DVSA "Goods Vehicle Inspection Manual" and the "Categorization of Defects manual" is essential.
  • Time served apprenticeship, in mechanical engineering, automotive technology. Certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in HGV/PSV vehicle maintenance, or a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
