Job summary

Ocado Logistics seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to keep our delivery fleet safe and efficient. You will carry out routine maintenance and repair work, from minor defect fixes to the installation of telematics and collision cameras, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

You will work with a team, undertake health checks, manage spare parts and admin tasks, and support site equipment. A UK driving licence and hands-on mechanical experience are essential, with opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• UK driving licence is essential for occasional travel to other locations.
• Proven mechanical expertise with previous experience in motor vehicle maintenance, repair, engineering, or manufacture.
• Diagnostic proficiency and analytical fault-finding skills to identify root causes of mechanical/electrical issues.
• Technical electrical skills for vehicle electrical repairs and installation/removal of telematics and collision cameras.
• Experience with LGV equipment and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicle components.
• Familiarity with workshop safety and Safe Systems of Work.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical repairs including electrical work, wheel changes and defect repairs.
• Perform installation/removal of vehicle technology like telematics and collision cameras.
• Conduct periodic van health checks and assess refrigeration unit defects.
• Maintain site equipment and minor repairs to LGV components.
• Manage spare parts ordering, stock control and cost paperwork.
