Detail 2 Limited is seeking an experienced Fleet Transport Manager to lead a fleet workshop in the Cheltenham area. The role requires strong HGV management experience and hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical systems, with flexibility to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in an HGV or fleet workshop environment.
• City & Guilds HGV Parts 1-3 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Class 2 HGV licence (minimum) with tachograph knowledge.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of HGV Technicians and a Workshop Supervisor.
• Own the fleet maintenance system (R2C) and LO-ER inspection processes.
• Ensure vehicle documentation is accurate and legally compliant.
• Manage vehicle availability and minimise downtime.
• Plan labour for workshop efficiency and output.
• Maintain high safety, organisation and cleanliness standards.

Fleet Transport Manager - Requirements

• Proven management experience in an HGV or fleet workshop environment
• City & Guilds HGV Parts 1-3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Class 2 HGV licence (minimum) and a solid understanding of tachograph systems
• Strong hands-on technical knowledge: hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical
• Good understanding of vehicle compliance and operator licence requirements; R2C experience an advantage
• Strong communicator who balances service delivery with commercial priorities
• Happy to travel between sites

Fleet Transport Manager - Responsibilities
