Responsibilities

  • Manage daily maintenance and repair of the HED Fleet to support branch objectives.
  • Oversee fleet, plant, and machinery maintenance across approximately 10 depot locations and 187 State Care Monuments.
  • Make operational decisions regarding repair and maintenance prioritization.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set and implement divisional and branch objectives, including specifications for fleet replacement.
  • Develop and manage servicing schedules and PSV plans for all vehicles and plant, including monthly service and key date notifications to staff.
  • Plan recovery strategies for broken-down vehicles and fleet replacements to ensure service continuity.
  • Assist in budget management and ensure procurement procedures comply with departmental policies.
  • Oversee external contracts for fleet servicing and repairs where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain proper training and records.
  • Conduct condition reports on fleet and plant assets, resolving issues through contractors or repairs.
  • Maintain accurate asset registers and oversee end-of-life asset disposal policies.
  • Drive departmental vehicles, including transporting colleagues and materials.
  • Attend relevant training sessions.

Fleet Supervisor

CPL has partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Fleet Supervisor (E011 Grade) on a temporary contract, with a possibility of extension.

Pay Rate: £14.93 per hour

Location: DfC, HED Heritage State Care Moira

Benefits: 37 days holiday per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Qualifications and Experience:
