Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a transport planning role.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation (Driver Hours and Tachographs).
• Understanding of Operator Licence requirements & compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office and planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Planning and optimising daily fleet operations for maximum efficiency.
• Managing driver schedules and ensuring full coverage at all times.
• Liaising with customers to manage bookings and service expectations.
• Coordinating subcontractors during peak periods.
• Monitoring live operations and adapting plans as required.
• Conducting driver briefings and debriefings.
• Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours, WTD, and Operator Licence regulations.
• Managing PODs and handling any operational issues or incidents.
