  • Report on driver improvement activity, progress and outcomes
  • Escalate persistent non-improvement or serious concerns to management
  • Support fleet safety standards, safe systems of work and road risk reduction objectives
  • Promote a positive, proactive driver safety culture across the business
The Person
  • Credible with drivers and able to build strong working relationships
  • Calm, professional and confident in handling challenging conversations
  • Able to challenge unsafe behaviours in a firm but supportive manner
  • Highly observant with strong assessment and feedback skills
  • Organised and disciplined with accurate record-keeping ability
  • Able to work closely with operational teams, fleet teams and management
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Experience in driver coaching, driver training, fleet safety, road safety or transport operations
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving techniques and behaviour improvement
  • Experience conducting driver assessments, coaching sessions and practical evaluations
  • Familiar with telematics, dashcam analysis, driver scorecards and fleet systems
  • Relevant backgrounds include ex-traffic police, DVSA, enforcement, military transport or fleet risk management
