Job summary

Ayvens in the United Kingdom is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to own in-life fleet operations, ensure compliance, and drive cost-efficiency for customer fleets. You will work with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver an seamless operational experience and meet KPIs and SLAs.

The role requires experience in fleet management, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to analyse data to identify improvement opportunities. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

We"re looking for a Fleet Operations Manager to take ownership of in-life fleet operations, ensuring vehicles remain compliant, cost-effective, and fully operational for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing mission critical customer fleets, working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers to provide a seamless operational experience while delivering against key performance indicators and service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all in-life vehicle activity and fleet operational processes. Ensure vehicles are maintained to agreed service levels and customer requirements. Monitor and manage vehicle compliance, maintenance schedules, and operational performance. Take ownership of vehicles off road (VOR), breakdowns, hires, and accident management processes. Support Critical Operations Managers and the wider operations team with fleet expertise and operational insight. Identify opportunities to improve service performance and reduce operational costs.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Act as the operational point of contact for customers, providing expert fleet guidance and support. Support supplier onboarding and ongoing supplier governance activities. Conduct regular supplier and client review meetings to track fleet performance and resolve issues. Work closely with Commercial, Operations, and Customer Service teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Monitor fleet-related expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support management of customer in-life spend and vehicle pricing activities. Work with commercial teams to maximise customer value and business revenue. Analyse supplier and network costs, developing recommendations for efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation in line with GDPR requirements. Ensure activity is managed through relevant supplier management systems and platforms. Produce accurate reporting, forecasting, and operational updates. Monitor and deliver against agreed KPIs and SLAs. Provide data and insights to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We\'re Looking For

• Experience within fleet management, fleet operations, or a similar operational environment.
• Experience managing complex fleet operations and vehicle compliance requirements.
• Understanding of supplier performance management and service delivery frameworks.
• Proven experience managing supplier and customer relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse operational data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Full UK driving licence.
