Job summary

StoneSafe Talent is seeking a hands-on Transport Manager to take ownership of fleet compliance and drive improvements in operational performance. The role is based in Southampton with a focus on reducing costs and improving utilisation.

The ideal candidate has experience in transport management and understands UK transport legislation. A proactive, communication-driven approach is essential, with CPC qualification being a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport management, supervision or fleet operations.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transport operations, fleet compliance and driver standards.
• Ensure compliance with UK transport legislation.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, driver hours and training requirements.
• Investigate incidents and implement improvements.
• Work closely with operational teams to improve efficiency and performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve fleet utilisation.
