Job summary

Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a time-served vehicle technician to join the Fleet and Logistics Management Service. You will be responsible for daily servicing, inspection, and maintenance of council vehicles and plant at the Stretton Way depot in Huyton.

The role is permanent, 36 hours per week, with overtime opportunities and a salary of £36,869–£38,737 per annum including a 10% shift allowance and a tool allowance.

Qualifications

• Time served vehicle technician is required.
• NVQ Level 3 in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Experience with fleet maintenance beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day service, inspection and maintenance of the vehicle and plant fleet.
• Work from Stretton Way Depot in Huyton with regular overtime.
