Job summary

Flogas Britain is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Controller for a 12-month FTC in Syston. The role will involve monitoring vehicle maintenance, managing supplier interactions, and ensuring efficient workflows to keep our fleet operational and safe.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge of HGV's relating to their build, maintenance and operation.
• Confidence in managing suppliers and supplier national account managers.

• Manage the workflow through the Tranman Vehicle Management System.
• Review and amend quoted repair prices with garages and manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on daily VOR. Liaise with garages, internal stakeholders, tanker maintenance manager and repair agents to optimise vehicle downtime.
• Manage the workflow through the Tranman Vehicle Management System – reviewing the provisional repair spend and approving as appropriate.
• Review and negotiate/amend quoted repair prices as appropriate with garages and manufacturers.
• Work with our repair agents to ensure the best value is achieved for Flogas whilst ensuring our critical delivery assets are returned to use in a timely manner.
• Accountable for identifying areas where our preventative maintenance regime can be improved to the benefit of Flogas.
• Work closely cross-functionally to deliver the vehicles required by the business on the road and safe to operate.

Qualifications

• Organisation and attention to detail.
• Mechanical knowledge of HGV’s relating to their build, maintenance and operation – essential.
• Commercial and business acumen.
• Confidence in managing suppliers and supplier national account managers.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with suppliers on behalf of Flogas.
• Experience of hazardous goods desirable but not essential.
