Job summary

Centurion Truck Rental, a leading UK provider of commercial vehicle rental and maintenance, invites applications for a Maintenance Advisor. The role focuses on reviewing repair estimates, maintaining cost-effective maintenance, and ensuring compliance while keeping fleets on the road.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in workshop or fleet maintenance, strong IT skills, and excellent communication to liaise with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Solid technical understanding of commercial vehicle, HGV, trailer or automotive maintenance.
• Strong commercial awareness balancing cost control, customer service and vehicle compliance.
• Ability to own maintenance costs, keep vehicles on the road, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team oriented with good attention to detail.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Review repair estimates, labour times and parts costs to ensure value for money.
• Challenge excessive quotations and negotiate with suppliers.
• Communicate with customers on work carried out and completed.
• Supply accurate and timely estimates when requested.
• Greet customers on site and respond to queries via email and phone.
• Prepare and maintain documentation.
• Liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers
