Job summary

Four Jays Group in Maidstone is seeking a Logistics Planner to oversee and coordinate the efficient movement of goods and services within the organisation. The role involves supporting the Hire Logistics Manager, planning deliveries and servicing the hire fleet, and using the MCS system to improve efficiency.

You will work with the hire desk, drivers and operations teams to ensure smooth day-to-day scheduling, while maintaining a proactive and can-do attitude and complying with management

Qualifications

• Experience in event or hire planning and scheduling.
• Transport familiarity or experience required.
• Good map reading skills and knowledge of the south east England road network.
• Strong numeracy and IT skills, proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Punctual and reliable with a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Hire Logistics Manager in daily planning of deliveries, collections and servicing of the hire fleet.
• Review, allocate and schedule jobs using the company's MCS hire system.
• Learn and manage the MCS platform to improve fleet efficiency.
• Coordinate with hire desk, drivers and operations to schedule daily work.
• Liaise with drivers to ensure timely communications throughout the day.
• Ensure logistics queries are handled promptly and professionally.
• Support other areas of the business with new lines of work and opportunities.
