FLEET INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICE ENGINEER LEVEL 2 - HORNSEY DEPOT

Here at GTR, we are looking for a Service Engineer to join our team based at Hornsey Depot.

This role involves carrying out repair work and routine maintenance to specification across our depot infrastructure. It also involves fault finding and rectifying faults across our depots.

We are seeking someone with experience in maintenance work and an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering-related field.

Skills and experience required:

  • Served an apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering field at NVQ Level 3 or similar experience
  • Physically fit and able to pass a medical to engineering standards
  • Able to pass DP Track and PTS courses unless exempt
  • Willing to learn new skills for train maintenance
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Fault finding on single and 3-phase systems
  • Familiarity with large plant and machinery
  • Valid driving license
  • Competent in diagnosing faults on plant equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of building services, low voltage electrical equipment, water, sewage, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to diagnose electrical and pneumatic control system faults
  • Ability to carry out PGI and Safety Tours
  • Willingness to work at outstations or other depots, being mobile
