Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

This role is in our Plant and Fleet department, Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?

You’ll perform routine maintenance and repairs on the fleet, ensuring everything runs smoothly and reliably.

As well as diagnose and resolve a variety of mechanical faults with care and expertise.

You’ll follow Health & Safety guidelines and uphold good working practices within the workshop, prioritizing a safe environment for everyone.

We’ll provide you with a PDA device to accurately log and complete electronic work records, keeping everything up to date.

Also, carry out both minor and major repairs as needed, addressing tasks with precision and focus.

You’ll identify and document any damaged fleet at the depot, ensuring issues are recorded and addressed promptly.

You’ll maintain clear and open communication across the plant office, yard, and workshop functions to keep operations seamless.

We’d ask you to adhere to M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions’ `Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality` (SHEQ) policies, always working safely and responsibly.

What You’ll Bring

  • Fully qualified plant technician to NVQ3 or equivalent through a recognised training scheme or a wealth of experience working on fleet
  • Competent use of company IT and diagnostic tooling
  • Driving Licence - essential
  • Fork Lift Licence but training will be provided
