Job summary

Job Description

Europcar is looking for a Fleet Coordinator. Would you like to be part of the Europcar team? We are looking for a Fleet Coordinator to coordinate the delivery and collection of our vehicles for our customers. This is a service that is central to our customer experience so it’s vital it’s done efficiently and professionally. You’ll be working with our delivery and collection teams who are on the frontline of the customer relationship with our brand. You’ll also be working with our central fleet team and local branches. Plus you could be required to deliver and collect vehicles for customers so you could be the first person a customer meets from Europcar. Creating a great impression is vital. Having a confident manner is also important because you may need to prepare the vehicle for the customer and deliver it with a good handover.

Main duties

• Provide a high quality rental administration service to meet station needs.
• Assist and the accurate completion of all rental documents and assist in the planning of the delivery and collection of vehicles
• Handle telephone enquiries in a polite and professional manner.
• Accurately complete all rental administration and vehicle documentation as well as the reporting of damage post rental.
• Responsibility, vehicles, premises and customer safety.

Key skills and attributes required

• A full, valid clean driving licence, with a minimum of 4 years driving experience is required
• Ability to work as part of a small team.
• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
• A positive attitude and professional appearance.

At the end of the 19th century, the car was a luxury reserved for the elite, but interested everyone, attracting crowds: in 1898, the first car show was held in Paris. Car rental will see the light a few years later, across the Atlantic, but its development will be stopped by the first and then by the Second World Wars. In the aftermath of the war, a Parisian entrepreneur revived the idea: “If you can’t afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?”. His name was Raoul-Louis Mattei and in 1949, he created "L'Abonnement Automobile": a company that would later become the Compagnie Internationale Europcars, then Europcar. Its headquarters, located 11 rue du Champ de Mars also included a rental agency. The company's success was rapid, as car rental responded to a real need. In 1951, l’Abonnement Automobile was the first company for car rental without a driver and its fleet counted 750 4 CV. Now, the Europcar Mobility Group has over 200,000 vehicles on average in its fleet and serves 5 million customers in more than 140 countries.
