Are you a compliance expert with a passion for transport legislation and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Compliance Managerto lead and elevate our transport compliance standards across all MMID transport areas.

Müller Milk & Ingredients (MMID) is the UK’s leading producer and distributor of fresh milk, cream, butter, and dairy ingredients. As part of the Müller UK & Ireland Group, MMID operates a nationwide logistics network across multiple dairies and distribution depots, delivering over 1 billion litres of milk annually to more than 5,500 locations. MMID optimizes its supply chain to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and service quality. The company sources milk from around 1,300 British farms, supporting local agriculture while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and environmental responsibility.

About the Role

As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our transport operations meet or exceed all legal and safety requirements. You’ll oversee audits, policies, and compliance administration, while advising on future legislation and driving continuous improvement across the fleet.

Role Title: Fleet Compliance Manager

Contract: Full time / Permanent

Location: Field Based

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (40 hours)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance across vehicle legislation, safety standards, and training.
  • Conduct site assessments and audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Manage compliance with EU drivers’ hours, Working Time Regulations, and Operator Licence requirements.
  • Oversee third-party and agency compliance.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes.
  • Provide senior management with performance reporting and risk assessments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)– Road Haulage (Essential)
  • IOSH Managing Safelycertification
  • Proven experience in transport operations and compliance
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • UK Driving Licence
