Job Description
We are thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading business with multiple awards under their belt to recruit a Compliance and Safeguarding Manager within the Fleet division.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Fleet & Passenger Transport - to ensure the compliant and legal operation of the Fleet and Operators Licences. To develop staff's understanding in Safeguarding and legal vehicle compliance. Conduct investigations and audits when required. Named Transport Manager on the company's operator's License.
Duties:
- Proactive daily management of EU and domestic hours legislation, infringements, and related driver training/retraining where required.
- You will oversee all areas of compliance e.g., drug and alcohol testing, walk-round checks, gate checks, eyesight testing, and compliance with the company's policies, procedures, and systems, including all Earned Recognition and Coach Operator's Guild standards.
- Present and prepare information for third-party audits when required.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure legal compliance with Health and Safety and Operators License.
- Oversee vehicle presentation standards and driver performance to ensure the highest standards of service delivery, rewarding and motivating staff following positive feedback.
- Oversee the company's operation of the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme and report to the Head of Fleet & Passenger Transport.
- Assist with the company's day-to-day operations as the needs of the business require.
- Named on PSV Operators License.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained within the guidelines of the requirements.
- Assist and conduct audits for group fleet where required.
- Department Lead for Safeguarding.
- Training and implementation of safeguarding to all staff.
- Conduct Safeguarding investigations where necessary.
- Collaborate with a range of organisations to ensure that Safeguarding practices are in place and maintained.
- Assist in the implementation of vehicle replacement programmes.
Requirements:
Essential
- Sound knowledge of Drivers Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme.
- Hold Transport Manager Qualification (International or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving licence with D1 and valid dCPC Qualification.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Experience working within a professional environment.
