Fleet Compliance Manager

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, family-owned logistics group with a strong reputation for reliability and quality. Operating a fleet of 60 HGVs and 150 trailers, they offer general haulage, pallet network distribution, and warehousing services across the UK. Their people and customers are central to everything they do.

The Role

This key position ensures full compliance across the fleet, safeguarding the operator licence and maintaining vehicle safety. You'll manage MOTs, PMIs, servicing, and repairs, working with workshops, suppliers, and drivers. You'll also maintain accurate records and liaise with DVSA and auditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee compliance for 60+ HGVs and 150+ trailers
  • Manage maintenance schedules and cosmetic repairs
  • Monitor MOTs, PMIs, and servicing via Blue Crystal
  • Ensure daily inspections meet DVSA standards
  • Maintain accurate compliance records
  • Liaise with DVSA and lead audits
  • Educate drivers and teams on compliance
  • Report performance to senior management
  • Develop and implement transport policies
  • Lead incident investigations and drive safety improvements
About You
  • Experience in HGV fleet compliance
  • Strong knowledge of DVSA and O Licence requirements
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and a confident communicator
  • IT literate; CPC qualification desirable
  • Team player with a positive attitude
