Base pay range

Grade: O

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, working between the hours of 05:00-17:00 (40hr week)

Location: Birmingham, B24 9HY

Basic Criminal Record check required.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Fleet Controller to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• The purpose of this role is to ensure optimum availability of the transport fleets is achieved in line with the key performance indicators, with strict adherence to legal compliance and Company Policy.
• Ensure sites manage the legal requirements of the business including MOT, road tax, servicing and tachograph checks and all relevant fridge calibrations and breakdowns.
• Manage Tachograph controls and infringements.
• Responsible for the co-ordination of planned and unplanned vehicle maintenance carried out by several vehicle contractor companies.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Full DL and access to vehicle for site travel.
• HGV Fleet Service / Maintenance experience highly desired.
• Transport experience within a Supply Chain / Logistics environment is essential.
• IT literate.
