Primary Objective
- To be fundamental in the development and on-going administration duties connected to the Fleet Compliance Plan along with the Work Related Risk Policy.
- To be responsible for running reports and processing transactions, ensuring at all times both internal and external stakeholders are communicated within a timely and professional manner.
- To assist in general administration duties, including upkeep of vehicle records, dealing with the high volume of phone calls, liaising with suppliers to help organise vehicle repairs, swaps, serving, etc.
- To be fundamental in developing MJQ’s working culture, its reputation and values
Principle Accountabilities
Fleet Processes
- Assists in implementing the new drivers communication strategy, including: Commercial Vehicle Drivers Handbook, Commercial Drivers induction, and related Tool Box Talks
- Assists in working towards the Van Excellence Accreditation and helps introduce the necessary procedures and processes
- Assists in creating a new driver training process, concentrating on the relevant risk areas
- Assists in the preparation of the Road related risk compliance process and procedure
- Carries out administration of the Goods Vehicle Operators license
- Oversees the accident and insurance process
- Assists in ensuring compliance with economic and environmental policies relating to commercial vehicle usage
Fleet Compliance & Checks
- Administers and checks of the Driving License check database
- Assist in investigating RTA’s and incidents and making relevant recommendations
- Assists in the implementation of the new Driver pre-use check and defect reporting system and associated administration
- Analyses the telematics/tracker system to help monitor drivers hours and compliance infringements
- Carries out audits of suppliers maintenance records
- Planning of mobile van audits
External Relations
- Liaises with the relevant legal authorities and transport organisations (DVSA and FTA)
- Liaises with Resolution Law and similar Companies for recovery of excess payments and uninsured losses
- Liaises with both office and field-based operatives on all vehicle related matters
