Job description

Connect it, a growing multi-utility company, is looking to expand its Transport and Support Services Team by recruiting a Fleet and Assets Coordinator.

This role supports the ongoing compliance of our vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment needed for our field-based workforce. The responsibilities include procurement advisement, calibration, and stock management of company assets.

The position is based in our office and warehouse complex in Hedge End, Southampton.

Key Skills
  • Adopt a zero-compromise approach to Health & Safety, aligned with legislation and company policy.
  • Monitor and manage the timely inspection, calibration, and testing of assets in line with statutory requirements and company policy.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders, informing them of upcoming asset inspections and bookings.
  • Track equipment progress with suppliers to ensure efficient completion and return (Calibration).
  • Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment on company databases.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of store stock.
  • Develop efficient processes and procedures within your area of responsibility.
  • Prepare tooling kits for new vehicles and manage stock returns from leavers.
  • Stay updated on technological advances in vehicle and plant assets through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience with PAT/LOLER testing is preferred.
Additional Information
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
