Overview

Yorkshire Ambulance Services, Ancillary Services Team, are offering an opportunity for a 15 hours per week, Mobile Premise Cleaner, working out of our York Ambulance Station.

Standard Car (Cat B) - Full Driving License is essential. Working days and times are dependent upon provision required, due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service being a 24/7 Emergency Service. Allocated Bank Holiday working is required.

Responsibilities
  • Station/Site Cleaning – undertake cleaning and other associated tasks to meet high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in line with Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and specific daily work schedules, achieving and maintaining required standards of cleanliness across the organisation. Cleaning schedules include entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurants, gym, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other associated areas.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of cleaning materials and record all daily activities, including urgent spillages and deep cleaning where identified.

Requirements
  • Essential: Full Driving Licence (Cat B).
  • Flexible and can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work and potential alternative location support cover within shifts. Short-notice changes may occur due to site support needs and the Emergency Services provision.
  • Ability to work alone to plan essential tasks, manage time constraints, and communicate effectively with senior staff.
  • Successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic 12–15-minute Physical capability assessment.
