Job Summary

FKL Plant provides specialist plant and equipment for hire, including mobile concrete & asphalt batching plants and piling rigs. We are recruiting a Plant Hire Coordinator to support the Hire Controller in managing the hiring and leasing of our plant equipment, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and professional experience for our customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Greet customers, suppliers, and visitors at the Plant office, ensuring they are signed in and accompanied as required.
  • Liaise with clients/customers to establish their plant needs and offer suitable equipment solutions.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, negotiating hire rates and terms.
  • Utilize systems and spreadsheets to record and monitor servicing, inventory, and hire contracts, ensuring availability and compliance targets are met.
  • Perform general administration duties, including data entry, filing, and handling post.
  • Prioritize Health and Safety at all times, reporting and ensuring compliance with safety standards related to plant equipment and the working environment.
  • Monitor and control costs to stay within budgets and assist with invoicing to maintain cash flow.
  • Address and resolve issues such as repairs, breakdowns, delays, and complaints, escalating as necessary.
  • Assist with weekly payroll for Plant staff, ensuring correct coding of hours.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation, including flights, hotels, and car hire, as required.

What You'll Bring

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Grade C or above.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • IT Literacy, especially Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full, valid UK/Ireland driving license.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Coins Accounting System.
