Job summary

phs Compliance is seeking a Fixed Wire Test Engineer in Stevenage to inspect and test customer electrical installations, including emergency lighting and fire alarms. The role requires city & guilds / NVQ level 3 qualifications and a full UK driving licence.

You will use cloud-based certification software, generate reports, and ensure timely submission while enjoying a generous bonus structure and company vehicle with private use. The position offers career progression and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent Level 3 SQV.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395.
• AM2
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
• Flexibility to work 40 hours/week including evenings.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Inspecting & Testing on customer’s electrical installations (EICR’s) including Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis, Thermal Imaging, and small remedial repairs as required.
• Completing all relevant reports and certification with our cloud-based certification software.
• Ensuring all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time.
