Key Responsibilities:
  1. Connect with the duty team at operational hours and lead team briefings.
  2. Be available during shifts to provide clinical and operational support.
  3. Lead patient care at the bedside and during transit in specific clinical circumstances.
  4. Record transfer requests from referring consultants.
  5. Manage the tasking of duty clinical teams.
  6. Coordinate to ensure safe and efficient transfer processes.
  7. Provide clinical advice on critical care transfer planning across London.
  8. Record referral outcomes.
  9. Support training and education activities, including workplace-based assessments (WPBAs) for trainees.
  10. Perform daily safety-netting by reviewing previous shift transfer PRFs and flagging concerns.
  11. Complete documentation in line with service clinical governance.
  12. Escalate operational or governance concerns appropriately.
  13. Attend transfers in person to maintain business continuity.
  14. Collaborate on maintaining the ACCESS Risk register.
  15. Participate in operational leadership meetings and provide governance updates.
  16. Review taskings for governance review and feedback.
