Job summary

Branston Ltd is seeking a Fixed Asset Controller to own asset and CAPEX processes, ensuring strong financial controls and accurate reporting across sites in Lincoln and beyond.

You will partner with operations to drive efficiency, maintain asset registers, and deliver regular management reporting while supporting governance and audits. A professional finance qualification in progress is expected, with prior financial accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Fast-paced environment; ability to prioritise workload.
• Starting or progressing through a professional financial qualification.
• Previous experience as a financial accountant.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed asset and capital expenditure processes with robust controls.
• Monitor budgets and variances, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Maintain the fixed asset register (additions, transfers, depreciation, disposals).
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial policies and purchasing processes are followed.
• Prepare regular reporting and analysis on capex and fixed assets for management.
• Support governance, compliance and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency across the business.
• Provide support for wider finance activities as required.
