Qualifications

• Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and related standards.
• Working knowledge of housing associations/construction.
• Experience working in accounting and finance roles.
• Good knowledge of VAT.
• Proficiency in using financial systems and software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the Fixed Assets Register (Keystone): record handovers, disposals and component replacements; obtain sign-off.
• Run Keystone month-end reports and prepare monthly schedules and journals for depreciation.
• Liaise with Asset Management teams to gather repair data, accrue or upload to Keystone, and produce reconciliations of capitalised repairs.
• Review K1 Construction transactions for VAT compliance and ensure project ledgers are uploaded to SDS Sequel.
