Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance checks.
• Handle emergency breakdowns and repairs.
• Perform daily troubleshooting.
• Control breakdown and repair documentation.

Overview

Our client is a large, independent metals manufacturer. They are recruiting for a Fitter's Mate to join their busy site in Sheffield.

Responsibilities

• Weekly site machinery inspections and sign off
• Upkeep and maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment
• Carrying out planned maintenance checks
• Emergency breakdowns and repairs
• Daily troubleshooting
• Controlling breakdown / repair documentation

Skills Required

• Mechanical engineering knowledge, electrical knowledge would be an additional plus but not mandatory

Details

• This is a 39 hour paid / 41.5hr clocked week
• Any overtime will be paid at time and a third in the week after the completion of 39hrs
• Time and a half on Saturdays and double time for Sundays
