People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fitter's Mate to join our client based in Bedminster, Bristol. The role offers ongoing temporary work with competitive rates and the chance to develop skills within a specialist installation environment.

The successful candidate will have experience as a Fitter's Mate, Installer or Installation Assistant, with a full UK driving licence and a flexible approach to travel and site location. Weekday shifts with some nights away apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fitter, Installer, or in a similar role.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and site risks.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective on-site communication and professionalism.
• Full UK Driving Licence with ≤6 penalty points.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home as required.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company van to customer and site locations.
• Assist with installation of extraction, ventilation, and ducting systems.
• Work independently or with a team of fitters and contractors.
• Load and unload products; ensure secure and undamaged during transit.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
• Work away from home when required.
• Assist with site preparation and installation activities.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fitter's Mate to join our well-established client based in Bedminster, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing temporary work, competitive rates of pay, and the opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist installation environment.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Fitter's Mate, Installer or Installation Assistant.

Rates of Pay:

• £14.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 start time (start time may vary depending on site location)
• Some nights away may be required
• Expenses and subsistence allowance provided for nights out

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Fitter's Mate are:

• Driving a company van to customer and site locations
• Assisting with the installation of custom-built extraction, ventilation, and ducting systems
• Completing work independently or as part of a team of fitters and contractors
• Loading and unloading products, ensuring they remain secure and undamaged during transit
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately
• Working away from home when required
• Assisting with site preparation and installation activities
• Following all company health and safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Fitter's Mate, you will need:

• Previous experience as a Fitter, Installer, or within a similar role
• A good understanding of health and safety requirements and site risks
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Professional communication skills and the ability to represent the company on-site
• A full UK Driving Licence with no more than six penalty points
• A flexible approach to work and travel requirements
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
