Are you a Mechanical Fitter with experience working in the rail industry or similar looking for an exciting new opportunity. JT Recruit are currently looking for a number of Fitters on behalf of our client in Shirebrook, NG20.

You will be working on freight wagons where you will be performing compression fittings for the rail industry and working on standardised configurations and bespoke developments from initial concepts all the way through to completion.

This company have been established for over 100 years and have built an outstanding reputation within their sector. They are the leading provider of wagon design and manufacturing services for the UK rail freight industry.

This role would suit a mechanical fitter who has experience working in the rail or heavy engineering industries looking for a varied role at a company who will continually invest in you and your career.

The Role:

• Performing compression fittings on wagons
• Undertake mechanical repairs to fleets of wagons
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with safety guidelines
• Install and assemble components on wagons

The Person:

• Experience working in the rail or heavy engineering industry
• Mechanical fitter experience

Pay:

Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 7.30am – 4pm & Friday 7.30am – 3pm.
