Job summary

A leading landscape maintenance company in Kingston is seeking a Fitter/Mechanic to maintain grounds maintenance equipment. The role requires experience with various machines including ride-on lawn mowers. A driving licence is essential. Full-time hours from Monday to Friday and competitive salary of £38K - £40K depending on experience. Permanent positions available after 13 weeks if successful.

Overview

Fitter/Mechanic – Kingston is needed to work for one of the UK's leading landscape/grounds maintenance companies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds maintenance equipment
• Two-stroke machines: Strimmers, Blowers and Hedge cutters
• Pedestrian machinery such as walk-behind lawn mowers, powered weed brushes
• Ride-on lawn mowers such as Rise-on equipment: John Deere OutFront mowers, compact tractors and tractor implements

Requirements / Qualifications

• A driving licence is essential
• Experience maintaining grounds maintenance equipment
• Good knowledge of fault finding and diagnostics
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Basic computer skills and communication skills to liaise with suppliers

Role Details

The hours will be confirmed on interview; full-time hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary: 38K - 40K depending on experience.

The roles will be made permanent after around 13 weeks if all goes well.

The role is based at our client’s Kingston depot.
