Fitter/Mechanic - Cheam

A Fitter/Mechanic is needed to work for one of the UK's leading landscape/grounds maintenance companies.

Job Duties:
To maintain our clients' grounds maintenance equipment.

Hours:
The hours will be confirmed in the interview; it is full-time hours - Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week.

Salary:
£34k to £35k depending on experience.

Requirements:
A driving license is essential.

The roles will be made permanent after around 13 weeks if all goes well or could also be made permanent from day one.

Location:
The role is working at our client's Cheam yard.

Desirable Experience:
While it is not essential, it would be desirable if candidates have worked in a Grounds Maintenance setting previously, working on machinery such as:

1. Two-stroke machines: Strimmers, Blowers, and Hedge cutters
2. Pedestrian machinery: Walk-behind lawn mowers, Powered weed brushes, and Ride-on lawn mowers
3. Ride-on equipment: John Deere OutFront mowers, Compact tractors, and Tractor implements

Additional Skills:
Good knowledge of fault finding and diagnostics is preferred.

It is not essential that candidates have previous experience with gardening equipment; we would also consider MOT Technicians and Vehicle Mechanics.
