Job summary

Orion Electrotech has partnered with a prestige automotive restoration group in Leicester to recruit a skilled Fitter. You’ll diagnose, strip and rebuild hydraulic and mechanical components, testing assemblies to exacting standards on luxury and classic vehicles.

Working in a dedicated technical team, you’ll contribute to restoration projects, benefit from an employee-owned environment and a structured training programme with a generous profit-share and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fitter or vehicle technician
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems
• Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
• Willing to work in a specialist automotive restoration environment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults within hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Strip, inspect and rebuild specialist vehicle components
• Repair and refurbish hydraulic steering systems and assemblies
• Build and test hydraulic units to strict quality standards
• Support restoration, refurbishment and remanufacturing projects
• Carry out mechanical repairs and assembly work
• Complete workshop documentation accurately
• Maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards
