Connect Appointments has a new opportunity for a Fitter to join our established client in Kilmarnock on a permanent basis!

Salary: £41,730 per annum

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am to 1:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Overhaul, maintenance, examination, and repair of rail vehicles and rolling stock
• Stripping and rebuilding safety-critical components in accordance with technical drawings
• Fault finding and repair on mechanical components such as bogies, brake actuators, axles, etc.
• Door gear removal, overhaul, refit, and testing
• Working as part of a team, completing necessary paperwork and work instructions
