A leading manufacturer is seeking a Fitter to join their engineering team in Bath. The successful candidate will ensure the assembly and calibration of high precision systems. Ideal applicants should have a background in mechanical or electrical fitting with the ability to read engineering drawings. A GBP 34,500 to A GBP 37,500 DOE (A GBP 17ph to A GBP 18.50ph) + Regular Overtime Opportunities (1.3x :1.5x) + Travel Bonuses + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Training and Development Opportunities
39 Hours per Week : Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30, Friday 07:30 to 12:30
Fitter required for an industry leading manufacturer of precision instruments due to continued company growth. You will be joining a well:established company with a history of over 80 years, holding a global reputation and client base. The company can offer in depth product training and development opportunities for the future.
The successful candidate will need experience working as a fitter in a precise, low volume industry and can come from any manufacturing environment. This role is open to both mechanically and electrically biased candidates. You will need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
The Fitter will be joining a growing engineering team responsible for the assembly, calibration and service of high precision systems. You will be involved in both mechanical assembly and electrical wiring and integration.
The Fitter Role
A Mechanical assembly of high precision systems used in industries including aerospace, data centres etc.
A Electrical wiring and basic fault finding
A Calibration of finished products
A Regular overtime available
A Full product training provided
A 2:3 times a year you will support the team with site installations of equipment and yearly inspections. This is for up to 1:2 weeks at a time.
The Fitter Candidate
A Fitter / low volume assembly experience.
A Any engineering background.
A Mechanically or electrically biased.
A Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
