Job description

A growing engineering company located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting for a Fitter to join their team.

This role is paying between £13 - £14 per hour and will be a temporary - permanent position for the right person.

This company have been established for over 10 years', have around 30 staff in total, have a large manufacturing facility and design & build bespoke equipment.

What does the position involve?

• As a Fitter, you will be required to read from technical drawings
• Mechanical fitting of bespoke products
• Basic Electrical installations and assembly
• This will be working in the yard and some of the duties can be physically demanding
• Bolting exhaust systems into place
• Using a counterbalance forklift to move equipment in the yard
• Installing generator sets where required

Candidate requirements:

• Background in metalwork or mechanical fitting
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Proficient user of hand/power tools
• Valid forklift licence
• Must be able to work within a team and to their own initiative
• Modern facilities
