The Nursing and Midwifery Council is looking for an Investigator in London to join the Case Investigations team. You will manage and progress complex fitness to practise investigations involving nurses and midwives, balancing fairness and public protection.

The role requires resilience, sound judgement and adept communication with diverse stakeholders. This is a permanent, full-time position based in London with hybrid working.

Qualificações

• Experience managing complex, sensitive or high-risk casework or investigations within a regulated, legal or policy-driven environment.
• Ability to plan, manage and prioritise a varied caseload while meeting deadlines, quality standards and KPIs.
• Ability to analyse complex and high-volume information, identify key risks and make evidence-based decisions.
• Experience conducting interviews, gathering evidence and producing high-quality written reports or statements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, engaging professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and progress complex fitness to practise investigations concerning nurses and midwives.
• Gather, analyse and assess evidence to determine whether a nurse or midwife is safe to practise.
• Engage with stakeholders including nurses, midwives, patients, families, witnesses and representatives.
• Make evidence-based decisions in a fast-paced, high-risk environment with empathy and respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues and specialist professionals to progress investigations and manage risks.
