GLL is looking for a Fitness Instructor based in Barking Sporthouse & Gym. Our Fitness Instructors have plenty of energy, ambition, and expertise; this is your chance to help people achieve their fitness potential by becoming a Fitness Instructor.

As a Fitness Instructor, your role includes inspiring people to train independently, helping them understand their fitness aspirations, and devising bespoke programs that suit their needs. Building trust and confidence naturally, you will support clients through inductions, workout advice, and equipment guidance. A passion for fitness and a can-do attitude are essential, along with attention to detail for paperwork.

If you love variety, you'll thrive here, supporting different clients daily. Responsibilities include providing personal training, checking equipment, teaching classes, and ensuring safety and motivation. You should have physical fitness, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for fitness to make a positive impact on clients' lives.

What you’ll do:

• Collect and check information related to clients
• Analyze client data
• Set short, medium, and long-term goals
• Plan, instruct, and evaluate exercise sessions
• Conduct 1-2-1 or group inductions and exercise programs, including introducing new equipment
• Teach classes or small group training (training provided)
• Design appropriate exercise programs addressing safety
• Create program cards for clients
• Suggest exercise modifications for individual needs
• Use progressive teaching methods for exercises
• Select training methods suitable for clients
• Advise clients on progressing their programs
• Assist clients in correcting unsafe techniques
• Motivate clients to promote adherence and retention
