Recruit4staff are representing a well-established building services contractor in their search for a Fit Out Construction Project Manager to work in Birkenhead

Job Role: Managing M&E fit out projects for commercial clients across the UK, overseeing all aspects from planning through to execution and handover. This includes resource allocation, programme management, and financial control to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery. The role involves regular site visits, quality inspections, and coordinating with designers, contractors and other stakeholders. Duties also cover managing project documentation, compliance and subcontractor negotiations.

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to £60,000 per annum + Package
  • Hours of Work: Working hours: 40 per week, Mon–Thurs 8:30–17:00 and Fri 8:30–16:30
  • Duration: Permanent

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience of commercial construction project management
  • Track record of successfully managed fit-out projects for commercial customers
  • Time-served apprentice from a construction/building services trade with project management experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge of construction fit-out works
  • Strong financial skills managing project budgets, cash flow and risk
  • Experience preparing and managing subcontractor packages and negotiations

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working as a main contractor
  • Experience with office/laboratory fit-out projects

Essential Qualifications:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant trade (or equivalent experience)
  • NVQ Level 6 CSCS Black Card
  • Full driving licence
