Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is recruiting a qualified social worker for the Children's TM - First Response Team in Leicestershire. You will assess urgent cases, develop safeguarding plans, and collaborate with families and professionals to promote the safety and wellbeing of children at risk.

Successful candidates will have a social work degree (or DipSW), registration with Social Work England, and proven experience with crisis responses.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with Degree in Social Work or DipSW (or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience with children and families, especially in crisis situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks in urgent situations.
• Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies in collaboration with families and professionals.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records, ensuring adherence to legal and organizational standards.
• Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access the necessary resources and services.
• Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
